Quiet Quest - Day 2: Sunshine Meditation & Swim

To be honest, I thought that Quiet Quest would be a no-brainer; an easy thing to do. After all - I do yoga, I like down-time, and heck, I would be doing this after 3 weeks in Bali, full of meditation and space. 

But interestingly enough, to find just 30 minutes a day where I'm mindful - but not actively doing anything while plugged in, is more difficult than I imagined!

Today I went swimming in between teaching yoga classes, and I'm so glad I did! Normally I'll go about my tasks, and then pull out my kindle (the app on my phone!) and read read read. And I adore reading! 

But the task this month is to stop looking at the phone/computer etc and to be part of my world. So after gently reminding myself, I put the phone down, found a patch of sun, closed my eyes and looked up.

Meditation outside in the sun, with the fresh air, was delicious. To sit with my (active as it was!) mind, to literally smell the outdoors, was so refreshing. And yes, tricky - but once I remembered that this was time for ME to be fully presents, yowser, I can see I'm going to want more and more of it!
