Om Namah Shivaya

"I honour the divinity that resides within me"

YOU, my friend, are a divine being. Yes. I know sometimes it might be hard to believe (especially when you're beeping at that car in front of you in peak hour traffic), but deep down there inside your heart, you are a miracle. Your love, your kindness, your inner spark. It's divinity :)

Today in class, the first thought we set up was "Om Namah Shivaya".  I had a pretty exhausted weekend - not sure if I'm coming down with something or it's just the end of the year-tiredness, but I allowed myself to stay in bed for most of the day on Sunday, and it was gratefully accepted by my tired body. I feel I'm getting another bout of full on adrenal fatigue, and so allowing myself to come to the mat, exactly how I am, and still see that there is divinity in me, it was very freeing.

I have no issue finding the divinity in others - I honestly, absolutely believe in the joy that people hold. But when it comes to myself, sometimes it takes a little longer to uncover those pearls. So when I was looking for a theme to set up today's intention, I couldn't go further than this.

Divinity. In each and every one of us.

When we start our week, and our day with that intention of being divine, what a glorious setting.

So to you, my dear friends, on this beautiful sunny Monday, Namaste. The light in me, honours the light in you.

GO and say it aloud! Om Namah Shivaya!
