The Planet THANKS You

Science tells us that when a butterfly flaps its wings today, it creates a rainstorm on the other side of the world. Medicine tells us that when we get even a tiny scrape on our elbo, our entire body goes to work to heal it. All energy is interrelated and everything works together. We might not have the ability to control the outcome of things but we can be mindful of how our own thoughts, words, and actions affect others. The understanding that we are practicing not just for our own well-being but for that of the whole world is the most profound benefit of practice.
Yoga philosophy says that our body is a map of the entire universe. Pema Chodron says when we practice meditation we are studying humanity in the form of ourselves. When we understand that our body is part of the whole world's body and our mind is part of the whole world's mind, we understand the true meaning of Yoga Body, Buddha Mind - strong, vast, and all inclusive. THANKYOU to everyone who came along to the Yoga by Candlelight class this evening, to celebrate Earth Hour. It was a magical evening. Namaste x
