ON the eve...

On the eve of my 8 day yoga training retreat with Baron Baptiste, I've got a few thoughts running around. Firstly - I'm just so excited to be heading on holidays! It's been too long since I've had a break! Secondly, I'm so excited to be diving headfirst back into some yoga training and study. That too, has been too long. I definitely feel ready to submerge myself into some practice and theory, and am looking forward to learning some new sequencing. I'm also excited to have commenced my Mentoring program (a year long study program) with Samadhi Yoga - again, I am itching to further my studies so I can share more new ideas and theory with my wonderful students. We got 3 texts to study over the year: * Teaching Yoga by Donna Farhi * The Bhagavad Gita: A Walkthrough for Westerners by Jack Hawley and a book of * Yoga Sutra translations (which I can't find the link for right now) There are practical assignments, book reviews, a written thesis and exam all due over the year, and to delve into further study is something I'm hopping excited about! But right now I'm off to bed! But I look forward to sharing more fun ideas and feedback with you on my return. x

I am looking forward to hearing about all the great things you'll be studying!

I just finished the Bhagavad Gita by Eknath Eswaran so I'm curious to what you will thin of Jack Hawley's translation.

I also read the Yoga Sutra's when I did my teacher training, but I wasn't wild about the version they picked, so I'll be interested to see what you think of your version.

Hope you have a great time!

Good for you Stella! that retreat sounds wonderful; I look forward to all you thoughts and stories when you return. Samadhi is very close to my heart; I relish the days when I am free of work and errands and can go to midday class and sit with my lunch in camperdown park.
