May all beings have happiness, and the causes of happiness

What an amazing class I had tonight - thank you to all my students for your laughter, energy, and willingness to try new poses, and have a giggle along the way. Sometimes in our quest for the perfect bakasana, warrior or even tadasana, we forget about one of the main reasons we should practice yoga in the first place - to open ourselves up to a joyous life. Don't forget about FUN, dear yogis! I left my fellow yogis with some pearls of wisdom to dissect during final savasana tonight -
Your outlook on life is a direct reflection of how much you like yourself.
Whether you agree with this or not, it's an interesting point to raise - what is the image of yourself that you project to others? Take a moment to be completely honest with yourself... and if it's not exactly the image you're hoping to portray, what can you do to adjust it? Open yourself up with some practice, and spend some time in savasana exploring an open mind. Enjoy, 3~

I love it when teaching is just playing, enjoying and having fun with fellow yoga practitioners!

how true! many a times, as both a student and teacher, i see students frowning or sulking or grimacing, as they try to get into a challenging pose. they sometimes forget to have fun. and most of the time, they forget to respect their own bodies and capabilities.
